04. The Birthday Party- July 31, 2011- Johnny’s Birthday

Corinna Cicone

Kristina got in late and fell asleep on the sofa. Sam came in the door with glassy eyes and a crumpled up tissue, dabbing her eyes.
“What’s wrong?” Kristina asked, wiping her eyes of sleep.
“I think Jason’s cheating on me.” She whined almost inaudibly.
Kristina raised an eyebrow. “Where’d you get that idea from? Jason wouldn’t cheat on you.”
“I saw some texts on his phone from (sobs) an unknown number.” Sam buried her face in her Kleenex-clan hands and sobbed.
“What did they say?”
Sam sobbed even harder.
“Maybe you should some being so… I mean, you let Jason control you; you don’t have a life outside of him. He knows that if he were to do you wrong, you wouldn’t leave him.”
“How can you say that? I love him! He is my reason for existing!” Sam cried.
Kristina rolled her eyes. She didn’t understand why her sister was being so dumb. “You know, you’re being really stupid. I can’t believe you let Jason control you like that. It’s really sad In fact, it’s pathetic.” Kristina said. “If he’s cheating on you, it’s you fault.”

At six o’clock, Kristina got dressed for Johnny’s birthday event. She changed into a short, red halter dress with a bow at the neckline, Corinna and Felicia texted her that they were on their way.

Johnny’s birthday party was huge. It took place at the Port Charles City Park. Everyone and their friends came. In fact, Johnny didn’t know half the people there.
Ethan arrived with Bree, causing Kristina to seethe with jealousy.
Felicia was wearing an aqua colored summer dress with a drawstring built-in belt to cinch the waist along with silver gladiator sandals and a silverish gray ballet shrug.
Corinna wore a long, cotton strapless yellow dress with a black leather jacket with a silver pendant and black converse high-tops.
Kristina spotted Ethan and Bree dancing to “Please Don’t Stop the Music,” by Rihanna. Kristina felt stupid because she didn’t have a date or anything. Suddenly, out of the corner of her eyes, she thought she saw Kiefer. Her eyes shot into that direction, but only saw Johnny, grinding with a pretty, tan, honey blonde with a hairstyle like Marilyn Monroe. The blonde looked familiar like a model.
Felicia and Corinna excused themselves to the bathroom.
Kristina walked to the punch table and filled a cup with the purple kool-aid, instead of the clichéd red drink. After taking a sip, it was evident it had been spiked.
The song changed to “Booty Wurk,” by T-pain and Felicia and Corinna emerged from the bathroom.
“Hey guys, I want to introduce you guys to Johnny.” Kristina led Corinna and Felicia to where Johnny was.
“Hey, Johnny.” She tapped him on the shoulder.
“Hey,” he turned to hug her. “This is Nonni.” He introduced the woman with the dark skin and Marilyn Monroe hairstyle.
“Nonni Cardova.” She extended her manicured hand.
“Hi, I’m Kristina and this is Felicia and Corinna.”
“Oh. Well, the three of you are very beautiful.” Nonni complimented the three of them.
“Thank you.” Corinna and Felicia said unison.
Johnny couldn’t seem to keep his eyes off of Corinna. Felicia noticed this.
The three girls recognized Nonni.
“Are you the Nonni Cardova from Spread the magazine?” Felicia asked.
“Yes, I am.” Nonni replied. “Do you read it?”
“Yep. Two year subscription, all three of us.” Corinna answered.
Johnny was still staring at Corinna.
“Well, I do appreciate the support. Do you all want some punch?” Nonni said.
“Sure,” Felicia said.
Nonni smiled and disappeared to the punch table.
“Happy birthday, Johnny.” Corinna said dully.
“Happy birthday.” Kristina and Felicia said.

Ethan and Bree also went to get some punch. Nonni walked past Bree, who was wearing the green shirt-dress she’d seen at the Port Charles Mall a few days earlier.
Nonni was wearing a pastel pink, almost white, strapless mini-dress with layered ruffles from below the waist to above the knee. Nonni handed Johnny, Felicia and Corinna their drinks and took one for herself, as Kristina already had one.
Corinna took a sip and made a face as she swallowed. “Whoo. Tastes like Whiskey.”
Felicia took a swig and swallowed with ease. “Damn. Sho do.”
It was really nice meeting you, but I have to introduce these two to someone.” Kristina dragged Corinna and Felicia to where Michael was with Abby.
“Hey, Michael.” Kristina hugged him.
“Hey, Krissy.” He hugged her back.
“So, these are my friends. Corinna, Felicia, this is Michael and his… girlfriend, Abby.” Kristin uttered Abby’s named through clenched teeth.
Corinna waved and so did Abby, while Felicia and Michael locked eyes.
Michael instantly forgot about Abby, completely.
Abby and Kristina both, coincidentally, excused themselves to the bathroom. Kristina quickly did her business and went out to look in the mirror and wash her hands; Abby came out a few minutes later.
Kristina got straight to the point. “I think you should get out of my brother’s life and leave him alone.”
Abby sighed. “Look, me and Michael are going to be together for a long time and you’re just gonna have to stop acting like a third grader and deal with it.” She began to walk off but Kristina grabbed her arm.
“It’s better to be a third grader than an old, whorish spinster like you. How can you possibly expect a nineteen year old to commit to you? You know you need to find a man you own age. Or maybe a sugar daddy.”
Abby was so mad she could have slapped Kristina. “Are you sure you aren’t jealous?”
“Jealous of what?”
“Jealous of the fact that now, I’m the one who gets all of Michael’s attention. Michael and I love each other, and no matter what you say or do, I’m not giving Michael up that easily.” Abby said firmly before storming out.

Ethan was blown away by the revealing-ness of both Bree and Kristina’s dresses. Kristina’s back was completely exposed, and the dress had a plunging neckline.
Bree’s dress was tight with a built in bra that forced cleavage by mashing her boobs together.
“You look stunning tonight.” Ethan told Bree, even though he was thinking about Kristina.
“Thank you.” Bree blushed nervously.
Ethan gulped down some purple punch.

03. Misunderstood Plan

03. Misunderstood Plan. July 25th/ Kristina’s room.

After meeting Bree at Port Charles mall, Kristina had Felicia do some digging on her.
“Apparently, she’s twenty-one years old and a trust fund baby, and so is her younger sister, who we also met and the mall named Kennedy. Their parents, Tomas and Ivy Marcus own a chain of cosmetic stores that are extremely popular and successful.” Felicia read the information off of her phone. “She lives at the Harrington apartment complex.”
“So basically, she’s rich and privileged.” Corinna said, spinning in Kristina’s leather swivel chair.
“Yep,” Felicia nodded.
“There has to be something wrong with her. Something that’ll make him not want to be with her anymore.” Kristina whined
“I’ll see what else I can find…”
Corinna pulled her iPhone out. “I’m gonna check her Facebook page. I think I’ll add her.”
Felicia’s father made gadgets for the C.I.A., so she had all of the latest technology, and her mother was a private investigator.
Corinna’s father is an Italian and Greek mob boss and her mother, a Dominican supermodel.
“Her Facebook page says she’s in a relationship with Ethan Lovett and she’s going to Las Vegas with him the week after Johnny’s birthday.” Corinna read.
“Yeah, and her birthday is March twenty-ninth and… she was born in Oakland, California.”
Kristina took all of this in. “I should follow them to Vegas.”
“WHAT?” Felicia and Corinna shrieked in unison.
“You know, to dig up dirt and stuff on them. I mean her. It could be awesome.” Kristina suggested.
“Girl, you are obsessed with this guy.” Felicia said.
“What the hell are you thinking?”
“C’mon, you guys, you have to admit this is a great plan.” Kristina crossed her arms.
“I still don’t get what the plan is.” Corinna looked up from her phone.
“I’ll tell you when we get there.”

This is kind of a filler chapter but its still somewhat important

02. A Convenient Run-In

2. A Convenient Run-In- Two hours afterwards.
Bree and her younger sister, Kennedy were shopping at the Port Charles Mall.
“I can’t believe you’re actually with Ethan. How long has it been?” Kennedy asked, peering at a few dresses on the fifty-percent off rack.
“A little over two months. Sixty-three awesome days.” Bree cooed.
Kennedy was trying on clothes.
Three girls walked into the dressing room area, where Kennedy and Bree were. Bree recognized the petite, dark haired girl from Kelly’s. The other two girls were at least five or six inches taller than her.
The tallest one was olive skinned with curly dark brown hair and a baby face. The other had medium caramel skin and wavy black-brown hair with dimples.
“So, I think this dress is really cute.” Corinna said, picking up a yellow sundress with short, ruffled sleeves and a ruffled hem.
“Yeah, yellow is really your color.” Felicia commented.
“Yeah. Felicia, you look good in blue.” Kristina told Felicia.
Corinna disappeared into the dressing room with the yellow dress. Bree observed the three of them.
Kristina pranced in Bree’s direction, where Bree was ogling a pair of Louboutins. “So, you’re Ethan’s girlfriend.”
“Yes. I am, and you’re…” Bree trailed off, waiting for Kristina to finish.
“Kristina. Kristina Corinthos-Davis. A friend of Ethan’s.” Kristina smiled and extended her hand.
Bree looked down and took it. “I’m Brielle Marcus, but everyone just calls me Bree.”
Kristina looked over her shoulder at Felicia, which signaled her to Google Bree. “Okay.” Kristina beamed and walked back over to Felicia.

Ethan was at Johnny’s, eating a late lunch, spaghetti with meatballs and garlic-cheese rolls.
“Are you coming to my birthday party? Kristina and her friends are coming.” Johnny asked, rolling the spaghetti around on a fork and shoving it into his mouth.
“I’m coming to the party, okay? You don’t have to tell me Kristina’s coming, it’s not gonna make me wanna come even more or whatever.”
“Whatever you say, man.” Johnny chuckled.
Ethan rolled his eyes. “I have a girlfriend. Remember Bree?”
“Yeah, I remember her.” Johnny said in a “duh,” voice. “Doesn’t she has a sister?” Johnny inquired.
“She does.” Ethan admitted setting down his fork and picking up a roll.
“You ought to tell Kristina your feelings.”
“What feelings? I have no feelings whatsoever for a girl who most likely still shops in the juniors section, okay?”
“Johnny burst out laughing so hard he almost fell out of his seat.

You should so try this on! This’ll blow Ethan’s mind.” Kennedy encouraged Bree to try on a tightly fitted forest green shirt-dress with a flattering neckline. Kennedy knew this wasn’t something she’d usually wear.
Bree looked at the dress, then at Kristina and her friends, then took the dress into the dressing room with her.
Kristina bought three dresses, Felicia bought four and Corinna also bought four.
“Corinna d’you have a boyfriend yet?”
“Not exactly, but I have been talking to this really cute guy online, with Facebook and Skype. Don’t worry about me, worry about Felicia.”
“What? No, I’m fine.” Felicia insisted.
“I should introduce you to my brother.” Kristina suggested.
“Which one?” she raised an eyebrow, hoping it wasn’t Dante.
“Michael. He’s a year older tha me, but he’s really cool.:
“Mmm-hmm.” Felicia said. “That’s what you say.”
“I’m serious this time.”

1. Lunch with Friends- July 24th

1. Lunch with Friends- July 24th

Molly and Kristina were at Carly’s, visiting Morgan and Michael.
Molly and Morgan went upstairs with Morgan’s laptop. They were both grounded, Morgan couldn’t go outside and Molly couldn’t use her laptop. Carly was under the impression she had hidden Morgan’s laptop.
Kristina was complaining about Abby, again.
“I don’t understand why you want to be with her, she’s like, thirty-something years old, and she a ‘former’ prostitute or stripper or whatever. Either way, she’s a slut.”
“Back off, you don’t have to understand.  I don’t hassle you when it comes to Ethan, do I?” Michael said.
“I’m over Ethan. He doesn’t matter to me. Besides, there’s no point in loving someone who doesn’t love you back.” Kristina lied.
Michael chuckled, obviously not believing her.
“I’m serious! Anyway, Abby’s a whore and I don’t think she’s good for you.”
Michael rolled his eyes. To tell the truth, things were getting a bit dull with Abby, but he didn’t want to admit that to Kristina. He was determined to make his relationship with Abby work.
Kristina figured that Ethan wasn’t going to pay the attention to her in the way she wanted if she kept going about things the way she was. She was going to lunch with her friends, Felicia and Corinna. Kristina wore a short denim skirt with a fitted hot pink halter top and gold gladiator shoes.
Felicia and Corinna were already there by the time Kristina got there.
“You’re late, you know.” Corinna spat.
“Sorry, I didn’t realize, I guess I lost track of time. Kristina sat in the seat across from Corinna and next to Felicia
“We just got you Sierra Mist, since we didn’t know exactly what you wanted.” Felicia explained the tall glass full of a clear soda in front of Kristina. “There’s the menu,” she pointed to the pamphlet beside the glass.
Kristina picked up the menu and quickly scanned it. It didn’t take long for her to realize what she wanted.
“So, how are things with you and Ethan?” Corinna asked.
“Nothing’s going on with Ethan, I’m over him.”
Felicia scoffed. “Don’t even try to fool us with that bullcrap. That don’t even sound like you. From what you said, this Ethan guy has to be all that.”
“I know, you always—for the past year and a half, you’ve been obsessed with him. You even kissed him just a few weeks ago.” Corinna said.
Kristina sighed. There was no point in trying to convince them that she wasn’t into Ethan anymore. Pretty soon, the waiter came back and asked them what they wanted. Kristina didn’t look at him, just at the menu.
“I want the Caesar chicken salad with mustard dressing.” She said speedily, before rudely tossing the menu his way.
“I’ll have the cheeseburger with no tomatoes, and the curly fries on the side with barbeque sauce instead of ketchup.” Felicia told him.
“I’ll have the Cobb salad with onion rings on the side.” Corinna said.
After the waiter left, Kristina’s Treo phone buzzed in her bag. She looked to see it was Molly. She pressed ‘ignore’ call. Molly always called with the most immature things to say.
“Who was that?” Corinna asked.
“Just Molly.” Kristina replied, sipping from her Sierra Mist.
“Hmm, I wonder what she wanted.” Felicia said, scratching her scalp underneath her thick and wavy dark brown hair.
“Probably something dumb.”
Corinna yawned. “I am so darn hungry.”
“You think we ain’t?” Felicia sighed and whipped her iPhone out to check her Facebook page.
A few minutes later, Elijah the waiter came back with their orders. The three of them thanked him and dug in.
“So, you claim you don’t like Ethan anymore, huh?” Corinna said after swallowing a mouthful of salad.
Kristina didn’t reply.
“I really don’t believe that.”
“Johnny’s birthday is coming up.” Kristina tried to change the subject.
“Ugh. Johnny Zacchara?” Corinna asked.
Kristina nodded.
“Eww. He’s disgusting. Didn’t he almost get you blown up?” Corinna said.
“The bomb, yeah. I remember that.” Felicia added. “Ain’t he like, thirty? You better off with Ethan, who by the way I haven’t met.”
“Me neither.” Corinna said.
“You’ll probably meet him at Johnny birthday party.”
Felicia groaned. “We have to come?”
Kristina smiled and nodded. “Ethan apparently has a girlfriend. I don’t know her but I saw him with her at Kelly’s.” She doesn’t seem like his type.”
“I can find out who she is if you want me to.” Felicia said, chewing.
“You don’t have to.”
“I know I don’t have to. I want to.”
