1. Lunch with Friends- July 24th

1. Lunch with Friends- July 24th

Molly and Kristina were at Carly’s, visiting Morgan and Michael.
Molly and Morgan went upstairs with Morgan’s laptop. They were both grounded, Morgan couldn’t go outside and Molly couldn’t use her laptop. Carly was under the impression she had hidden Morgan’s laptop.
Kristina was complaining about Abby, again.
“I don’t understand why you want to be with her, she’s like, thirty-something years old, and she a ‘former’ prostitute or stripper or whatever. Either way, she’s a slut.”
“Back off, you don’t have to understand.  I don’t hassle you when it comes to Ethan, do I?” Michael said.
“I’m over Ethan. He doesn’t matter to me. Besides, there’s no point in loving someone who doesn’t love you back.” Kristina lied.
Michael chuckled, obviously not believing her.
“I’m serious! Anyway, Abby’s a whore and I don’t think she’s good for you.”
Michael rolled his eyes. To tell the truth, things were getting a bit dull with Abby, but he didn’t want to admit that to Kristina. He was determined to make his relationship with Abby work.
Kristina figured that Ethan wasn’t going to pay the attention to her in the way she wanted if she kept going about things the way she was. She was going to lunch with her friends, Felicia and Corinna. Kristina wore a short denim skirt with a fitted hot pink halter top and gold gladiator shoes.
Felicia and Corinna were already there by the time Kristina got there.
“You’re late, you know.” Corinna spat.
“Sorry, I didn’t realize, I guess I lost track of time. Kristina sat in the seat across from Corinna and next to Felicia
“We just got you Sierra Mist, since we didn’t know exactly what you wanted.” Felicia explained the tall glass full of a clear soda in front of Kristina. “There’s the menu,” she pointed to the pamphlet beside the glass.
Kristina picked up the menu and quickly scanned it. It didn’t take long for her to realize what she wanted.
“So, how are things with you and Ethan?” Corinna asked.
“Nothing’s going on with Ethan, I’m over him.”
Felicia scoffed. “Don’t even try to fool us with that bullcrap. That don’t even sound like you. From what you said, this Ethan guy has to be all that.”
“I know, you always—for the past year and a half, you’ve been obsessed with him. You even kissed him just a few weeks ago.” Corinna said.
Kristina sighed. There was no point in trying to convince them that she wasn’t into Ethan anymore. Pretty soon, the waiter came back and asked them what they wanted. Kristina didn’t look at him, just at the menu.
“I want the Caesar chicken salad with mustard dressing.” She said speedily, before rudely tossing the menu his way.
“I’ll have the cheeseburger with no tomatoes, and the curly fries on the side with barbeque sauce instead of ketchup.” Felicia told him.
“I’ll have the Cobb salad with onion rings on the side.” Corinna said.
After the waiter left, Kristina’s Treo phone buzzed in her bag. She looked to see it was Molly. She pressed ‘ignore’ call. Molly always called with the most immature things to say.
“Who was that?” Corinna asked.
“Just Molly.” Kristina replied, sipping from her Sierra Mist.
“Hmm, I wonder what she wanted.” Felicia said, scratching her scalp underneath her thick and wavy dark brown hair.
“Probably something dumb.”
Corinna yawned. “I am so darn hungry.”
“You think we ain’t?” Felicia sighed and whipped her iPhone out to check her Facebook page.
A few minutes later, Elijah the waiter came back with their orders. The three of them thanked him and dug in.
“So, you claim you don’t like Ethan anymore, huh?” Corinna said after swallowing a mouthful of salad.
Kristina didn’t reply.
“I really don’t believe that.”
“Johnny’s birthday is coming up.” Kristina tried to change the subject.
“Ugh. Johnny Zacchara?” Corinna asked.
Kristina nodded.
“Eww. He’s disgusting. Didn’t he almost get you blown up?” Corinna said.
“The bomb, yeah. I remember that.” Felicia added. “Ain’t he like, thirty? You better off with Ethan, who by the way I haven’t met.”
“Me neither.” Corinna said.
“You’ll probably meet him at Johnny birthday party.”
Felicia groaned. “We have to come?”
Kristina smiled and nodded. “Ethan apparently has a girlfriend. I don’t know her but I saw him with her at Kelly’s.” She doesn’t seem like his type.”
“I can find out who she is if you want me to.” Felicia said, chewing.
“You don’t have to.”
“I know I don’t have to. I want to.”
